Luke Sargeant will make his return to TCR UK this weekend, after finishing the 2024 season off with a pair of long overdue podium finishes.

Sticking with the Audi RS3 LMS TCR Gen2 and Vannin Motorsport, where the team will receive support from Audi Sport Customer Racing this season, Luke is driving a car he knows well from last year.

Having started the 2024 season in a CUPRA Leon Competicion TCR, the Warwickshire-based driver took three top-five finishes in the first half of the year.

Switching to the Audi in August, further top-five finishes followed before Luke claimed his first elusive podium finish in the penultimate race of the year during the Silverstone finale, with a second podium finish following in the final race of the season.

The ever-popular driver is excited to get back in the Audi again ahead of this weekends event at Donington Park, but is also clear about his targets for this year.

“Finishing off 2024 with my first podium finishes in TCR UK has given me the drive to see how much further I can move up the field. Having support from Audi also means that I can work harder on the car to unlock the sweetspot and the pace, as I look to add further silverware to the cabinet this year,” explained Luke.

“I also have a further incentive to make my return to TCR UK this year. Now that plans have been finalised for the FIA TCR World Ranking Final to take place in Italy in November, I plan to move as far up the ranking as possible so I can compete in this end-of-year event. The only way is up from here.”

TCR UK Championship Promoter Stewart Lines is pleased to see Luke confirm his return to TCR UK for 2025.

“With the two podiums that he scored during the finale last year, Luke has shown the progress he has made as a touring car driver,” explained Stewart.

“It’s great to see him return with the knowledge he already has of the car and the team, as well as gaining support from Audi. I’m looking forward to seeing Luke move up the grid this season.”
