Race-winning team Power Maxed Racing has announced that it will return to the TCR UK Touring Car Championship next season, running a brace of Hyundai i30 N TCRs as part of the Junior programme.

The Warwickshire-based squad were front-runners during their previous stint in the championship, with overall race victories taken by both Jac Constable and Alex Morgan at the wheel of CUPRA TCR’s.

Having a vast amount of experience running TCR cars, PMR has made the full-time switch to Hyundai for 2025. The two entries will be part of the 2025 Junior Touring Car Programme for drivers between 16 and 25 years old.

As championship winners and race winners in the BTCC alone, PMR are ideally placed to help the next generation of touring car drivers gain experience and knowledge as they make the step up from the junior racing categories.

Junior driver programmes have been previously run by TCR brands such as Hyundai, Audi and JAS Motorsport, with drivers having gone on to further success in touring cars after graduation.

Power Maxed Racing Team Principal Martin Broadhurst is very pleased to make the return to TCR UK and to also offer this important opportunity to junior drivers who want to go racing in touring cars.

“I’m very happy to get Power Maxed Racing back on the TCR UK grid for the 2025 season; we enjoyed our time previously in the championship and enjoyed a lot of success,” explained Martin.

“Returning for next season with Hyundai as our chosen brand means that we are working with a well-known and successful car in the i30 N TCR. We can provide a stable starting point for the two junior drivers who will be on board with us next year.”

TCR UK Championship Promoter Stewart Lines is delighted to see PMR make their return back to TCR UK for 2025.

“It’s fantastic news to see Power Maxed Racing announce their return to TCR UK as part of next year’s Junior Touring Car Programme. We need to find the next generation of touring car drivers, and working with PMR will give these young drivers an ideal opportunity during the early part of their motorsport careers.”

The drivers who will be part of the Junior programme will be confirmed before the season begins at Donington Park on 22-23 March.
