The TCR UK Touring Car Championship can announce today that touring car star and presenter Paul O’Neill will be back for the 2025 season as part of the commentary team.
Paul returns for what will be his fifth season, commentating on TCR UK and also the Milltek Civic Cup, bringing his exciting and lively commentary style to the booth along with his expertise of touring car racing and TCR itself.
The former BTCC race winner also presents the Social Media coverage from each race weekend and is always a hit with the fans trackside, getting them involved as he enjoys the interaction with the teams and drivers.
Paul joined the championship back in 2021 for his first year on the mic for TCR UK and has been a part of the team since. As well as his presenting duties, Paul is also a racing instructor, having completed many laps in different TCR cars within the UK Motorsport scene.
With both TCR UK and the Milltek Civic Cup moving to join the BARC for the new season, it’s an exciting time ahead for both series and one that Paul is looking forward to being a part of.

“2025 is a big year for the TCR UK Touring Car Championship; returning to well-loved venues and going abroad to Spa to join TCR Europe are just a couple of the high points, and I can’t wait to get stuck in,” said Paul.
“The championship finished on a high note last year at Silverstone, and it’s great to see new drivers, new cars and returning teams already getting themselves on the grid for this year. I love being in the paddock working with the teams and drivers, and it’s great to give back to the fans who turn up and enjoy every race weekend.”
TCR UK Championship Promoter Stewart Lines is pleased to have Paul back on board for 2025.
“As soon as you think of Touring Cars in the UK, you immediately think of Paul O’Neill and his excited tones on the microphone, following the unpredictable and thrilling on-track action,” said Stewart.
“It’s great to have Paul on board for the fifth straight year with us. He brings another level of knowledge and enjoyment to a race weekend, along with his experience of TCR cars and motorsport in general.”
