Lynk & Co will be back on the TCR UK Touring Car Championship grid for the 2025 season, as Ben Sharpe Racing expand their TCR Portfolio.

Entered under the banner of Maximum Motorsport with BSR, Ben’s team will operate the Lynk 03 TCR as Stewart Lines returns to competition. This news also confirms that at least five different brands will compete on track this year in the championship.

Having made its debut during the season opening weekend at Brands Hatch last year, the Lynk & Co took a race win on its first event within TCR UK, as well as leading races in the second half of the season.

Whilst Stewart will be behind the wheel of the Chinese TCR car during most of the events on the 2025 calendar, the team is also looking to provide an opportunity to drivers looking to enter TCR UK and drive the Lynk & Co across one of the seven race weekends this year.

BSR made their debut last season in TCR UK, running Mark Smith in a CUPRA TCR. This year, Mark has upgraded to a newer CUPRA Leon Competicion and stays on with BSR for a second straight season, as the team run two different TCR cars for the first time.

BSR Team Director Ben Sharpe is excited to take on this new venture ahead of the 2025 season, which starts at Donington Park on 22nd – 23rd March.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to have a second TCR car on the grid this season, with Stewart getting behind the wheel of his newly acquired Lynk & Co,” explained Ben.

“The car has already proven its pace with a win last year, and we’re busy getting it prepared for pre-season testing. It’s also exciting to work with a new brand, especially one that’s just around the corner from us at BSR. We can’t wait to get the program started.”

TCR UK Championship Promoter Stewart Lines is delighted to see Ben’s team expand their presence in TCR UK.

“It’s great to be working alongside Ben as his team expands their lineup in TCR UK this year, taking on the running of the Maximum Motorsport Lynk & Co 03 TCR,” explained Stewart.

“The Lynk & Co caused a stir when it was announced last year it would be making its debut in TCR UK and was one of the cars that drew the most attention. It’s great to see the brand returning for a second year in the championship.”
