Owen Hillman will make his debut in the 2024 TCR UK Touring Car Championship next weekend at Silverstone, where he will drive the Pro Alloys Racing Lynk & Co 03 TCR.

Owen, who has been a stalwart of the TCR UK feeder series, the Milltek Sport Civic Cup, will join the grid for rounds 12, 13 and 14, taking place on the National circuit next weekend.

Having already enjoyed a test in the Lynk & Co at his local circuit, this will be the first time that the Wiltshire-based driver has driven TCR machinery in anger.

The car has already made its debut in TCR UK this year, driven by TCR Europe regular Viktor Andersson, who claimed his first Touring Car win, during a one-off appearance at Brands Hatch back in April.

Pro Alloys Racing have already been successful in their previous foray into the championship, taking a race win with 2021 Civic Cup champion Alistair Camp at Donington Park last season.

Owen, who has driven for the family-run Pro Alloys Racing team in the Civic Cup since they entered back in 2021, is already experienced in the hard racing of the one-make Milltek Sport Civic Cup and is preparing for the step up to racing in TCR UK.

“I’m very excited to be making my debut in TCR UK, it’s the next step up in my career and gives me my first proper race weekend in a Touring Car. We recently shook down the car and as you can imagine there are a few differences between my Civic Cup car and the Lynk & Co,” explained Owen.

“I’m very grateful to Neil and the team at Pro Alloys Racing for giving me the chance to get stuck into TCR UK. Silverstone National is a fast and flowing circuit and I’m looking forward to mixing it with the regular drivers.”

Championship Promoter Stewart Lines welcomes back Pro Alloys Racing to the championship this weekend.

“It’s great to see Owen make the step up to TCR UK, joining a number of other drivers from the Milltek Sport Civic Cup who have already seen success. It’s also good to see Pro Alloys Racing make their return to the championship, putting the Lynk & Co back on the TCR UK grid.”
