George Jaxon will make his return to the TCR UK Touring Car Championship for the 2025 season, where he has targeted the 2025 Gen 1 Cup title.
George will drive a Volkswagen Golf GTi TCR, with the backing of regular sponsor Trade Nation, who have supported his previous efforts in the championship. The car will be run by DW Racing, which has many years of experience with Gen 1 TCR cars.
Jaxon is no stranger to TCR UK, having competed in the 2022 Snetterton finale in a CUPRA TCR before upgrading to a CUPRA Leon Competicion TCR the following season.
As part of his off-season preparation, the Essex-based driver was in action at the recent Maximum Motorsport Pre-Season Test, held at Donington Park, where he put in many laps in the Volkswagen.
Looking ahead to the start of the season, which gets underway at the Leicestershire circuit on 22nd—23rd March, George is very confident about the car and his full-season campaign.
“I’m excited to be back on the TCR UK grid this year, and I extend my thanks to my long-term sponsors Trade Nation and also to Alex Jones from Go-Fix for being a part of making this happen,” said George.
“I’m very happy so far with the time that I have spent in the Volkswagen Golf. I know that it is a competitive car, and I managed to get a lot of seat time on the Pre-Season test day. This has given me a lot of confidence going into the new season as I get my campaign underway.”
TCR UK Championship Promoter Stewart Lines welcomes George back to the grid for 2025.
