Cedric Bloch has confirmed his entry for the 2025 TCR UK Touring Car Championship, with his aim being to win the Gen 1 Cup for older TCR cars.

Cedric made history last season, becoming the first paraplegic driver to compete in TCR UK, using hand controls on his Audi RS3 LMS TCR DSG.

The French driver is back to take on the full season after delays meant that he could only compete in the two Silverstone events in 2024. Cedric’s specially adapted Audi will be run by Simon Green Motorsport again this year.

Despite mechanical issues that blighted his season debut at Silvertone in August, Cedric enjoyed a much better weekend at Silverstone during the season finale in October, where he took his first Gen 1 Cup victory in the penultimate race of the season.

For Cedric, this season offers a new challenge and excitement for him, as he commits to his first full season in TCR UK.

“I enjoyed the 2024 season and had a fantastic time in TCR UK despite the mechanical issues we had. Having shown my speed in last year’s events, my goal for 2025 is clear: To try and win the Gen 1 Cup,” explained Cedric.

“I’m very excited about the prospect of TCR UK moving to BARC for 2025, allowing for better races at some great venues, as well as joining the British Truck Racing Championship and the British GT Championship for several weekends.”

TCR UK Championship Promoter Stewart Lines is delighted to see Cedric announce his return.

“Cedric created a moment of history with his entry in TCR UK last year and showed that any driver can compete in a touring car, regardless of the physical or mental challenges that they face,” explained Stewart.

“As soon as he was up to speed in the Audi, Cedric was a race-winning contender in the Gen 1 Cup, showing that running one of these older cars offers a competitive option to anyone who wants to go racing in TCR UK.”
