Alistair Camp will make his return to the TCR UK Touring Car Championship this weekend for the Silverstone finale.
The 2023 Donington Park race winner will be back in the Hyundai i30 N TCR he drove on his previous two outings in the championship, joining JH Racing for the final event of the season.
Alistair has been competing in the Milltek Sport Civic Cup this season, driving an Area Motorsport-prepared FN2, in which he has taken three wins and lies in third place in the championship.
However, this will be his third outing in the Hyundai i30 N TCR, having competed at Snetterton and the aforementioned Donington Park event last year.
The former TCR UK race winner will join overall title contender Callum Newsham and Goodyear Diamond Award points leader Darron Lewis at JH Racing, who themselves have enjoyed a lot of success so far this season.
For the Derbyshire-based driver, the chance to get back in the Hyundai was too good to pass up and he’s looking forward to the season finale.
“We have enjoyed a good year in the FN2 in the Milltek Sport Civic Cup this year and I fancied bringing the Hyundai out of the garage for the season finale, to see how we fair against the TCR UK grid,” explained Alistair.
“JH Racing will be running the car this weekend, we’ve talked for a long time about working together and the stars have aligned to return to TCR UK. I’m looking forward to being back on the grid, to see if we can pick up where we left off last year.”
Championship Promoter Stewart Lines is pleased to see Alistair return to the championship.
